Interactive Doll – gift ideas for a toddler girl
Shopping for my daughter’s fourth birthday brought some surprises. Besides common presents as Barbie scooter and computer game I discovered something that made me stop at toy selves for an hour. Yes, soon I found myself staring at those real life baby dolls with expressions like “What? Dolls can do that?”
Well, about 30 years ago I had a doll that could say “mama” and “papa”, and I expected dolls’ vocabulary improve as technology moves forward, but it moved that much forward? Besides couple dozen of phrases and common wiggling-giggling they can actually eat, drink, and poop. Yeah, I really want to see how responsible my four-year-old will be about feeding the doll, taking it to the bathroom when it asks, cleaning and changing diaper.
So, I decided it would be good challenge for a toddler girl to take care of a “real life” baby doll. At the end it went a bit expensive because I couldn’t stop with accessories – extra pack of doll food, pack of doll diapers, extra outfits, doll stroller, and a diaper bag. Actually diaper bag was a separate story as I had to get it online. Department stores have poor choice of those.
Well at least I am sure this birthday will be a blast, and I will have some really gorgeous videos starring my daughter potty-training a doll.
