Most of us have probably used the large floral networks in this country to send flowers to people in another city or state. We don’t usually call up the actual florist that delivers the flowers, but rather we make the purchase through a network, such as 1-800-FLOWERS and they forward the order on to a flower store that is local to the area where it will be delivered. If you are thinking of sending flowers to Thailand, you may come up with some roadblocks with the large domestic companies, and you will have to look a little further to get those blooms overseas. Whether you want to send flowers to Bangkok (the capital), or any of the many popular tourist destinations throughout the country, you can now do it.

First of all, when you are sending flowers to Thailand, the internet is your best friend. There is no point in even picking up a phone, because even if you were able to call a florist in Thailand, you might have language difficulties and they may also have trouble running their credit card. Most American banks are now blocking transactions such as this, so you have to deal with a domestic company that processes the funds.

Also, when you send flowers to Thailand, you may have a dream of a large bouquet of red roses going to your sweetie, but the cost might be too much. Roses and many flowers that we commonly send in this country are not often grown in the tropical areas of Thailand, so you will be given other types of flowers from which to choose. It doesn’t matter though, because as all women know, it is the thought that counts.
