Have you decided what advent calendar you are going to choose to make your December run up to the festive christmas season this year? There is a great selection of advent calendars that you might not even be aware of if an advent calendar is something new to you. There is something for everyone young and old, boy or girl, and I hope to be able to give you some ideas of what are the best choices for your special people.  

For the children: Delicious chocolate advent calendars are available, either with basic milk chocolates, you can of course get branded chocolate calendars such as Kinder, Mars, Nestle of Maltesers. Then there is a huge choice of commercially branded calendars, for the boys there is the Lego Star Wars advent calendar 2011 that is on the top sellers every year, or Playmobil advent calendars of dragons and dinosaurs.  Every day you get another small toy that makes up part of the scene that is completed on the last day of the calendar.  These are wonderful calendars as they are not just useless clutter, and can be added to the children’s collections of Lego or Playmobil to be played with for years to come.  For the girls there are also choices of Lego or Playmobil, Lego provides a Winter Toy Shop calendar that will delight any little girl, while the Lego City advent calendar will suit either a boy or a girl.  From Playmobil there is a Dragons Land or an Emperors Knights advent calendar for the boys and especially for the girls there is a Unicorn Fairy world which is particularly popular! There are also  some other lovely treats for the girls, you can find Hello Kitty, Polly Pocket, My Little Pony or Littlest Pet Shop for every little girl’s favourite taste.
